Extra Large Modern Black Stone Mezuzah

The Extra Large Modern Black Stone Mezuzah is a 9-inch mezuzah case made in Israel from natural stone. Designed for broad doorposts and prominent entrances, its deep black color creates a clean contemporary presence. This mezuzah cover features an engraved gold Shin (ש), the Hebrew letter associated with Shaddai (שדי, “Almighty”), one of the Divine names represented on mezuzah cases.

Natural stone creates subtle differences in color, tone, and pattern. This gives each piece the distinctive character associated with stone mezuzahs. Its rectangular form and black-and-gold palette also place it among modern mezuzahs for homes, offices, and entryways.

9-Inch Black Stone Mezuzah for Front Doors

At 9 inches tall, this case has a strong presence on tall doorposts, wide frames, and main entrances. Its size places it among our extra-large mezuzahs for spacious doorways. The neutral color complements the dark wood, ironwork, and hardware often paired with black mezuzah cases.

• Front doors and main entrances
• Modern homes with clean lines and darker hardware
• Office entrances and other prominent interior doorways
• Broad doorframes where a smaller mezuzah may appear undersized

The gold Shin remains visible against the black stone, adding warmth and definition. Its Israeli made mezuzah cases origin, natural material, substantial size, and Hebrew detail make it a meaningful Jewish housewarming, wedding, new-home, or office gift.

Kosher Scroll for an 8-Inch Mezuzah Case

The decorative case protects and presents the scroll, while the handwritten kosher parchment inside fulfills the mitzvah. The mezuzah scroll contains the sacred handwritten Torah passages placed inside. The 9-inch case height and 8-inch scroll fit are separate measurements.

Choose a compatible kosher klaf for mezuzah measuring no more than 8 inches. When a compatible scroll is purchased with the case, Mezuzah Store can carefully roll, wrap, and insert it before shipping. If you already own a correctly sized kosher scroll, the case may be purchased on its own.

The parchment must fit without being folded, trimmed, crushed, pinched, pierced, compressed, or forced. After insertion through the snap-in cap, close the chamber securely and seal the case properly before installation.

How to Mount an Extra Large Stone Mezuzah

The included strong double-sided tape allows the case to be affixed without drilling or nails. Our guide to mezuzah mounting tape explains why a secure, lasting attachment matters when affixing a mezuzah.

Confirm that the flat doorpost surface can accommodate the case’s 9.0-inch height and 1.75-inch width. Clean and dry the surface, insert the correctly sized scroll, close the snap-in cap, and seal the back properly with the included tape. For outdoor use, inspect the seal periodically so the scroll remains protected from moisture.
